LOCAL DRUG HARM ALERT – INVERCLYDE

We’re aware of a small but serious cluster of near-fatal overdoses in the Inverclyde area. These cases appear to involve drugs sold as heroin, but contamination with other substances is suspected.

⚠️ If you use heroin or other drugs:

· Please collect a naloxone kit from your local pharmacy needle exchange or drug service – it could save a life.

· Using more than one drug will increase your risk.

· Don't use alone and ensure someone is with you until the drugs wear off.

· Drug services may also support you with getting your drugs tested to help identify what’s in your supply.

· If someone you are with has an overdose or becomes unresponsive after taking drugs, dial 999 for an ambulance and administer naloxone
