Your Voice Inverclyde ICJ members help shape Scotland's Cancer Strategy Evaluation

We are incredibly proud that members of the Your Voice Inverclyde Macmillan Improving the Cancer Journey (ICJ) project shared their personal stories and experiences as part of the Scottish Government's Cancer Strategy Evaluation. 💚

We are also delighted that our very own Mary contributed as a member of the Patient Advisory Group, helping to ensure that the voices of people with lived experience were at the heart of the evaluation process. 👏💚

The Scottish Government has thanked everyone involved, recognising that their time, insight and commitment helped shape a thoughtful and sensitive approach to engaging people accessing cancer treatment and support services. The experiences shared have provided valuable insight into the barriers people face, as well as what helps them access the care and support they need. 🗣️💚

The evaluation findings, together with recommendations, will help inform the development of the second Cancer Action Plan for Scotland, due to be published later in 2026. 📄

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone from Your Voice Inverclyde who took part. By sharing your experiences, you have helped influence the future of cancer services and support across Scotland. 💚
