Inverclyde to Receive Pride in Place Impact Funding 💰
We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news for Inverclyde! Our area has been chosen to receive £1.5 million through the UK Government’s Pride in Place Impact Fund — a major boost that will help strengthen our communities, revitalise local spaces, and support vibrant, inclusive neighbourhoods.
The Pride in Place Impact Fund is part of a £150 million UK-wide programme supporting up to 95 areas across England, Scotland, and Wales. The goal? To help high streets prosper, enhance shared public spaces, and enable communities to flourish.
What makes this fund special is its hyper-local focus — encouraging local people to have a real say in the decisions that shape their towns and neighbourhoods. It’s all about community voice, pride, and connection.
Inverclyde Council Leader Councillor Stephen McCabe welcomed the announcement, saying:
“This is another valuable opportunity for communities across Inverclyde to have their say on how to improve their local environment. We want our neighbourhoods to be vibrant and inclusive and hope that people engage with the programme to strengthen connections, create opportunities for cultural activity and help small businesses thrive.”
The fund will run over the next two years, starting this financial year. Inverclyde Council will work alongside local organisations, stakeholders, and residents to identify what matters most to our community — ensuring the investment benefits everyone who calls Inverclyde home.
We can’t wait to see how this funding helps to bring people together, celebrate local pride, and make Inverclyde an even better place to live, work, and connect. 💚
