Shingles Vaccination Information
The shingles vaccine is being offered to more people to help protect them at an earlier age. NHS Scotland can’t do this all at once, so it needs to be rolled out over 10 years.

ASP Awareness Day - Thursday the 20th February!
Residents across Inverclyde are being asked to be alert to vulnerable adults in their communities who are susceptible to financial harm. Financial harm can cover theft, fraud and pressure to sign over property or money.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Chair, Margaret Tait.
Margaret's Funeral is taking place this Wednesday at 3pm in Greenock Crematorium, 1 South Street, Greenock PA16 8UG.
Vaccines for young people
All young people in secondary school are offered vaccines to protect them against serious diseases. In S1 they are offered the HPV vaccine and in S3 the MenACWY and DTP vaccines which protect them against serious and, in some cases, life-threatening diseases such as meningitis and different cancers.

Social Media - Its use and impact on Mental Health and Wellbeing among young people.
A review of the links between social media use and mental health and wellbeing of young people, commissioned in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Specialist Children’s Services Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, and in Mental Health Improvement in NHSGGC.
The topic of social media use in the young people we see in CAMHS had been raised in many clinical and supervisory conversations. Clinical staff had talked of concerns about social media links, and conversations with young people who were self-harming, indicated that some had contacts to others in the same situation.
